Kauai's North Shore is a tropical paradise, one of the greenest and most lush places on earth. Kauai is "The Garden Isle", aptly named for the exotic tropical landscape only found on its north shore. Here you will find Hanalei town and its beautiful bay, Na Pali Coast, Tunnels Beach, Anini Beach and Princeville, along with numerous only-slightly-discovered beaches. Kauai's North Shore is the Hawaii of your dreams. Hanalei Bay, recently voted the seventh best beach in the world, has two miles of beautiful sandy beach. Swim in the warm soothing waters, watch the humpback whales and surfers in the winter, and experience the breathtaking colors of a Hawaiian sunset. You may fish off the Hanalei pier, or teach your children to boogie board in the gentle surf of this protected cove. The Hanalei River offers kayaking opportunities upriver through tropical paradise or downstream into Hanalei Bay. The charming, historic town of Hanalei is a step back in time featuring old time Hawaiian craftsman architecture, and teeming with shops, restaurants, shave ice, and beautiful mountain vistas with many visible waterfalls. Don't miss the weekly Farmer's Market, or the slack key guitar concerts performed several times per week. Na Pali, which means "The Cliffs" in Hawaiian, is an area accessible only by hikers and boaters. The Kalalau Trail is world renowned for its breathtaking beauty. This 11 mile hike, the only land access to Na Pali, includes remote pristine sandy beaches, sheer sea cliffs, waterfalls, and ancient hawaiian heiaus. Shorter half day and day hikes also provide access to fabulous locations along this coastal treasure. Tunnels Beach boasts the largest coral reef in the world; it can actually be seen from space. At Tunnels, you can snorkle over vast rock and coral formations, in lava tubes, and swim with the sea turtles. Tropical fish are abundant in these gentle summer waters. Lumaha'i Beach, made prominent by the movie South Pacific, is a must see, as are Anini and Hideaways Beaches. Anini Beach, protected by one of the largest reefs in the state of Hawaii, is perfect for children and relaxing water sports. Hideaways is a walk down a trail to a secluded beach with plenty of white sand and shade for those who desire it. The snorkeling here is fabulous, and the views of Bali Hai are breathtaking. CONTACT
